Stern lightbox for translight

Got a lightbox that suits stern translights do I need to get stern top and side channels or could I use Williams ones the reason I ask is I had a couple of spare trims that belonged to a Williams but as I tried to get them on they split as if the channel wasn't wide enough to suit the glass so do you get wider channels on the trims or are they all the same size just different lengths .

Been told I don't need the trims on this type of lightbox just slide the translite into the slot with the glass school boy error on my behalf
