I was fed up with hardly being able to see the upper playfield on Monopoly due to the glare from the backglass so I have fitted a flourescent tube filter.

I found a company called Transformation Tubes on t'net that were pretty efficient and sent the filter packed in a sturdy cardboard tube, though beware if you only buy one filter the postage is more the the cost of the filter itself!

Anyway there was loads of choice but I went for neutral 25% density to try and keep the backglass quite bright while still reducing the glare....and it does seem to have made a difference, so for £8.52 including vat and fast delivery I'm pretty pleased! :)

If anyone else has tried this I'd be interested in details of the supplier and what spec of filter was used, and how good the results were.

something like this - in orange - is big enough to do about three or four machines, wrapping twice around the tube on each one.i bought one several years ago (don't think i paid that much postage though) and was thoroughly happy with it. just 'lighting gel' means it's heat resistant gel, there's loads on ebay but watch out cos all the really cheap ones (£1.60 each) are too small. you want the sheet that's 2 foot by 4 foot more or less, you can probably get one delivered for about £8 all in i'd have thought.
