Found it! Step Down Transformer (230v to 110/115v)

Looking for a known working transformer to replace E122-148 37-8114 the small secondary one that is used in Flash Gordon to power the strobe as an example.

@AlanJ I have the tethered UK plug type of transformer for tech I've bought in the past from the states, is this what you mean as Ebay is full of them?

That looks good - so you wire it up just like the one in the game - i.e. you want 240v mains going into the transformer and then the two 110v wires coming out going to the game - i.e. to the Strobe board. so you could cut out the old transformer and then wire this into the existing wiring arrangement - those plugs and sockets you sent pics of in the other thread. You can solder the wires you splice in and insulate the joins. (heat shrink or good old insulation tape).
 
Fitted, definitely getting step down voltage via this transformer. Cheers @AlanJ

Back to the strobe thread to try and fix whatever else is up with it now
