Hi All!

Bought on here back in 2015 I’ve made the tough decision to sell my lovely pin! Other hobbies and the need for space are my only reasons for selling. I’ll be sad to see it go but the time has come!
After much use it needed a service including a replacement board which was carried out last year by Mike and has been running perfectly ever since.
I have installed all LED bulbs and have kept all the original bulbs (plus spares) if LED is not your thing. I have also installed an updated ROM for improved gameplay and the wonderful Pinsound board with Headphone connection and built in volume control.

The only minus’s I am aware of are the two pieces of missing paint on the rear display which I have highlighted in the photos below. This must have been caused by heat from the original bulbs. The ball occasionally (1 in 10 games) stops on the top right ramp but this is only when the ball isn’t travelling fast enough, I rock the machine to get the momentum back up for the ball to continue round the ramp.
Finally there is a pit in the playing field just at the entrance of the Death Star. Again, the ball only stops here occasionally when not travelling fast enough. I tip the table and in it goes!
If this puts you off, that’s fair enough but I’d rather be honest.

I suggest potential buyers come and play the machine. You’ll probably find the visit quite interesting if you’re a Star Wars fan! I’m based I. Ashford, Middlesex. Near Heathrow Airport.

I will be giving eBay a try soon and will start it at £4000 so only fair I offer it at £4000 on here.

Please excuse the gameplay but have you tried playing pinball one handed while filming?!

Pixelated dot matrix is purely camera vs display. There is no flicker/breakup in the dot matrix display.

A Stern SW Pro sold for £5500 recently - am fairly sure the market will always maintain some kind of distance between the DE/Sega and Sterns. But to be fair it’s a good looking pin and there are a lot of SW enthusiasts out there - entirely possible the stars will align and this will be the cheapest one out there when someone’s specifically looking for it and money’s no object

I was looking to purchase a DESW but there was nothing what I would consider reasonably priced at the time. Ended up buying a DE Simpsons and Williams Sorcerer. Combined they where still cheaper than a DESW.

eBay is probably your best bet as a DESW has recently sold for £4k on there. There are plenty of people who will buy it just because it's Star Wars and not necessarily know much about pinball.

Bought a very good example myself this year for £3500 from a forum member.
Devorian is right, go for the Star Wars fans on Ebay.
Good luck with it.

What’s the condition of the one in Glasgow as I’d be interested

I thought it looked pretty good but didnt look that closely, the DMD might have been replaced as it was very Red compared to the other DESW that was onsite, and a post had been put between the flippers that I dont think is standard. @ailsaclunie might be able to get you the contact details of the seller. Doesnt appear to be any pictures of it in the event thread.

It’s Doug Morrison’s on here he has messaged me thank you!

If we talking ballpark figures …..I sold a lovely one during covid. Stripped down , lots new plastics and parts LEDs etc, Pin2dmd colour display . £3400 iirc
What!!!!! We paid that much….😂
Must o been as drunk as a skunk 🦨
(Probably due to covid blues )
Cannot begin to imagine what my customer paid (?) I might investigate further………
Seriously though it was very nice and o’course worth every dime….
Not sure if any of these comments help with the sell particularly 🤔
……..Keef👊🏼
(On a serious tip, ebay is definitely the right place to sell this for the strongest price. @Lee Towersey wait for your 80% discounted fees and go for it!😉

Moving down to what appears to be a more realistic price of £3000. I’ve not played the machine since listing this back in July. Seems a waste so going to move on to someone else to enjoy. Will start at £3000 on eBay once a discounted listing promotion comes through.
