I completed xandar the other day and special didn’t light,
Can't remember but I've lit it a few times - definitely not II/SX that does it.
However, I can confirm that there's nothing remotely 'special' about collecting it - it is just points/credit.
In a good game, it leaves you feeling really annoyed that you thought "Ooh, special, I'll let that one go down the outlane" to find that it drains the ball and you get pretty much sod all for it...
