To any person that can help. The problem I have, is, that in a desperate hurry to get my 1978 Lost World up and running again I quickly removed my MPU out of my Space Invaders machine and did not mark down the dip switch settings ((idiot) whilst changing them to the LW positions) and have no idea where they should be and I can not find any info on the Internet to help me.

Hi Wiggy lucky you having an SI. The dip switches are described all over the place in the early section of the manual that can be found online here
mirror2.ipdb.org/files/2252/Bally_1980_Space_Invaders_Manual.pdf

I don't think there are any 'defaults' as such on these.

Many thanks Astyy, got my my knickers in a twist thinking that there was a certain set up for each machine., without finding out. Thank you, for it has proved one thing, I do have a fault on my board and it looks like it could be the reset circuit. This is the joy of owning an old pinball, time to start testing. Thanks again Wigs
