Hey Guys & Gals,
Sound leisure 1015 mechanised has stopped moving.
No error codes on little display (CD selection number area) albeit looks like predator countdown graphics….like when he’s ready to detonate wrist bomb…, lol.
Shame, as was hardly ever used for CDs.
I’ve unplugged and reseated the ribbon cable from the motherboard.
@Pick Holder - know your an expert matey, any ideas appreciated 👍

There are 4 different CD mechs that sound leisure use. Series 3, Series 4, 21st century and unity. This is 21st century.

This problem could be quite a few different things. The optos fail or literally the mechs go out of sync or the stepper motor control can play up.

Looking at your post code, sound leisure in Leeds are 2h30m from you.

If you talk to Jim Boyle there and say you are travelling a long way he may do it whilst they show you around the factory. I would take hte mechanism and the main control board to them. Whatever you do, do not post it.

If you do not know what you are doing then DONT FORK WITH IT. I do work on these mechs but occassionaly I need to take it to them.

Just a quick idea.

Open up to get to the main control board.

There are two buttons 'credit' and 'eject'.

Hold these both down whilst you power up the juke. Then release a few seconds later.

Some models have a RESET button on the back of the cabinet. This is also worth using (again, power up whilst holding button).

That’s great mate, the master reset as you described seems to have sorted it 👍
Its just registered and E00 code on the digital display. All is fine now, I believe there is a way to clear the error code, mentions the DIL switches on the SLE1000 board. I pulled the board half out but didn’t recognise the switches.
I don’t think it’s a biggy though as it’s playing fine now.
Its interesting also that the song selection rotisserie only has 70 positions where as it’s a 80 CD capacity. It’s like they forgot to put another ten CD holders in, maybe I can acquire some from SL.
Edit: error code is gone now, think it cleared when I played a problem disc position which is fine.
Thanks for your help buddy 👍

E00 means NO ERRORS. That is fine.

Yes it only displays 70 CDs. The idea was the last 10 CDs were used for background music initially. There is a way of programming random CDs to play and by default it goes for the last 10. I advise people to put 10 compilation CD-Rs in those gaps.

Ah, thank you, that’s make sense.
