Sold Sopranos

I'm sorry but I don't see what is so wrong. Other people post and say they have other machines for sale or coming up. I have given a price for the machine I have listed, and have just indicated that other items are for sale. I have asked several times now for people to contact me direct if they are interested in joust, rather than it taking up this thread.

Just bought a CP that was apparently originally purchased from Pinball UK.

I would suggest buyers go for a viewing before buying. Wish I had!

'originally purchased from' doesn't make what you received their fault though.
the other side of the coin: i bought a beautiful machine at a fantastic price from them without viewing first, and it all went without a hitch so i was very happy i did.

I got my Sopranos from Pinball UK and other than it being a little dirty (which I was aware of) there were no issues what so ever.

Very true Dan. I will check my sources but the machine was serviced by a reputable individual/company and I'm sure they would not have done the "bodges" that this game has had done to it. Maybe im wrong, but would be very surprised.

Thanks Carl and Dan.

Dave, I don't know what the problem is. I'm not sure if you're referring to Checkpoint or Champion Pub. But the last Checkpoint I sold was in March 2007, and the last Champion Pub was over five years ago. I really dont see how I can be held responsible for what happens to a machine in the five or eight years after I sell it.

Hi Colin
Champion Pub - yes a lot can happen in 5 years.

In that case I retract my previous statement.
Good luck with the sale of sopranos/joust/POTA costumes.

Looking back, Champion Pub was also 2007, so eight years in fact.

Thank you for the retraction.

I guess this is one of the problems, and we have seen it a few times before - Where a machine comes from say Pinball Paradise - The original PP was years ago, however because the name is also used by a certain company up blackpool way, they get associated.

Thanks for clearing that up guys, and thanks also to Dave for the retraction - Much appreciated :)

original Pinball paradise will mean the machine cab and playfield will be superb as Bob knew that trying to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear was bad business. Many of the games at his auction were his "rejected" games as it were. Nothing wrong with pigs ears if the price is right mind!

Hahaha I remember playing guess the price for the joust a year or so ago... It's a fun guessing game ;)

Joust and other items now not for sale. The only thing for sale is Sopranos.

Just for the record I saw that Joust in person a couple of months ago and thought it was in excellent original condition.

Sopranos has now sold elsewhere, so this thread is now at an end. Joust and the other items are no longer for sale on here and wont be again. I would have preferred to sell Joust in the UK, as it would be a shame if this ends up going back to the US where it was headed before I got it in. Apologies to anyone who was genuinely interested, but it just got out of hand. If I was to blame for some of that I'm sorry but there's fun and then it just gets tiresome.

Would be a shame if it went back to the USA but then your negotiating skills are pretty dire.
Just say what you want for it rather than have people pluck a random figure out the air.. And for the record as its been stated here before rare doesn't alway equal expensive.

How many more times have I got to try and close this discussion down. Joust is not for sale on this forum. There is no point in continuing this discussion.
