Putting the side armour back on tonight and one of the screw nails heads so kindly decided it wanted to come off! What's the best way to extract the little bastard? I can't get hold of it :0( soldier down

Try and get something behind to lever it up a bit (protect the wood) and then grab the head with pliers and twist counter-clockwise whilst pulling.

I used an old chisel but be careful.

There is no head it snapped off that's the prob lol

Ah, that is a problem!

Are you planning to put another nail back in it's place? I've had a couple snapped off, I ground it down as much as I could and used a centre punch and hammer to get it below the surface and left it there. A small piece of double sided tape will work at keeping the rail in place.

I was planing on puting another in because the rail has a hole for one spose I could use a punch and gamer it through to the inside

That's not a bad idea, I never bothered putting the nails back in mine as they tend to scratch the ****e out of the back of the hinges every time you drop the backbox. Not sure if that is a problem on yours though.
