Slam tilt error

Hi guys
I have a getaway that has stopped working and on power up says slam tilt. Game won’t start just ignition sound effect like I can’t start my car lol
Slam tilt switch is open circuit. The diode is working and when switch pressed it registers in test mode.
I’ve press tested all switches in same row and column and all register correctly.
However if I close the coin door the slam tilt switch no longer makes the beep noise in test nor tells me which switch I’ve pressed but it does put the x in the correct place on the matrix.

In switch test if I press the coin door closed switch it sort of makes a double beep but says coin door switch. The switch tests ok through my meter. For some reason the coin door closed switch doesn’t have a diode but neither does my fishtales sat next to it???
I’ve not found any wires broke off. Yet. Or disconnected diodes.

Just remembered it did do a total reboot like a 5v reset a few games earlier.
I think I better check my 5v

Anyone else had similar problem and can offer a solution.
TIA

Moose

Cheers Peter. It’s a rottendog and previous owner says it eats batteries for fun. Ie they don’t seem to last long. Might try changing the batteries out

New MPU huh? Then check the connectors they may be corrosion damaged, people replace the MPU but not the connectors.

The Door Closed switch has its diode situated on the Door Interface board.

If it's any help, a week-old Harley Davidson showed a similar problem, simply sitting with "Slam Switch stuck Closed", which cleared with the door open (though it still wasn't 'right')*. I found that rows 1 & 2 were shorted together (on a different column), so that closing the door brought up a closed slam switch.

* it could be argued that Bally Harley-Davidson never could be right.

Just replaced the batteries which are off board. Game started ok. But then got stuck in red light mania then reset mid game 🙄
Think I should invest in a new wpc mpu board.
@chris b have you any for sale?

Just kept finger on start button with engine turning over. After about 20 seconds game started and played flawlessly. Think it may be dirt in the carburettor 😜.
Deffo not a switch issue
