Semi automatic Gun and More

Spent the day yesterday playing with wood on the laser and making a few gifts for the family.

1st off I made a Rubber band gun for Gabe which fires 6 bands although I could only find one doh. This is my V1 which needs a few improvements which I’ll implement on my next one.

Then a nice little plaque off Gabe for his mum for helping with his Homeschooling



Then a Calavera (sugar Skull) for me because why not. I’ve started to paint it already and find it quite cathartic too.



All in all Avery fruitfull day earning brownie points and not bad as my 1st effort with wood

Looks like good fun! How much do these laser cutters cost roughly?

You can get cheap chinese ones called k40 for around £300 on eBay but they are what they are a POS that requires lots of tinkering and upgrading to get them working safely. They have literaly caught fire and are death traps.
however spend a little more on a decent 2nd hand one like mine which was £1500 and they great pieces of kit.
im now after one with a larger bed size of 600x400 which is 5k. The chinese ones are around 2k but you are back to the death trap scenario.

Yes that's kind of what I thought. Don't worry, I already made the mistake of buying a cheap knock off Chinese 3D printer...that won't happen again. Looks like a great tool. I'll have to see if I can think up some excuse to buy one
