Sega Boot Problem

Lots of questions tonight.

My Sega MSF has a bucket load of issues. Now, when I have the coin door closed, it does not go through its full boot up sequence. The Frankenstein voice just emits a long groan, the relay doesn't switch and nothing comes on. Bear in mind that the display has also nerfed itself so can't see if it's booting correctly.

PIA flashes on and off, the 5V LED lights constantly but the blanking LED flashes once before staying lit.

Any clues anyone?

Have voltages been checked?

Does the board have corrosion?
Power board has been extensively hacked in the past but its giving the right voltages. Cpu board gets 5v at the test points. No corrosion and I've moved the batteries off the board.
It worked when I got it, but as I have undone the hacks, over fusing and cables wired directly to boards and pins it is slowly starting to fall apart.

Sadly whitestar boards have no power on diagnostics outside of the PIA/Blanking LED's

If it won't boot, within nothing but power connected to it (remove everything else) then it is a board fault.

Try reseating all socketed chips carefully before any other action

MSF isn't Whitestar it's Data East 3b.

I would try removing the batteries for 5 minutes to clear the memory in case anything is corrupt. Had to deal with a similar issue myself on BF.
