hi all, my scared stiff flashers are driving me mad. For some reason they have stopped working properly. flahers only flash very dim and very slowly. Checked fuses, cables and power at test point 2 and have 17v.

Any idea's what could be causing this or what I can do to fix the problem?

Thanks,
Steve

Measure the voltage again on an ac scale. You might not have smooth dc.

Hi, I have measured the voltages AC and I get .14 to .29

I'm guessing this isn't right?

Where do I go from here?

Thanks
Steve

Have you measured DC volts at the flash lamps (red/white wires) - remember to frig the coin door switch first. You should also have 17V to ground there also.

Had similar issues on a TAF, faulty transistors on the power driver or a short on the MPU board. I ended up replacing the power driver board entirely.

Thanks guys. I have measured at the lamp with the interlock closed and am getting .03 to .11 dc when the bulb flashed dimly and around 2.1 ac.
These are very strange and low readings. As mentioned in my first post surly not all the relevant transistors could be faulty?
I don't have another power driver board I can try as it's the only wpc95 game I have.

Thanks
Steve

The voltage should always be present at the lamps. So what you see at tp2 should be at the lamp terminals. It's 0v that is connected via the transistors. So you have bad fuse or no continuity from the power supply.
