Rudy's eyelids

Rudy's eyelids on my Funhouse never fully close and at rest are half open.
To be honest, I kind of prefer it that way as it looks less scary! Trust me, one of my boys when younger didn't like Rudy at all.
However, is there something I can look at to make Rudy close his eyes completely?
I know I can take his head off (ouch!) and remove the whole unit, but which part should I be looking at?
It's quite a complicated bit of mechanism and as I've never really bothered before I don't really want a complicated fix.
But it would be nice to get it 100% correct!

Have a look at the thread I did on how to strip and fix the heads on my old Roadshow, exactly the same as Rudy. Unfortunately it looks like all the pictures got lost in a previous forum move as this thread is quite old now

If I recall correctly the eyelids wouldn't close at all if there were any broken parts. Yours should just need a strip and clean to solve the problem. No easy way round it. I'm mid way through a FH strip. When I get to the head I'll post pics. My Rudy needs fully stripping and servicing.
