Hello,

Since I got my R&B i've discovered that the ground braid needs a little bit of work doing. Unfortunately the section which goes from the main cabinet up to the head is missing. Most likely this is because the back end was water damaged so it's had an entirely new piece put in the back; that's also the reason why the cord cup and hole for the cord is missing (at the moment it loops up and comes out between the head and the body of the machine).

At the moment the head is secured using some wing-nut bolts which thread down from the top. But I don't believe this is the original method for locking the head and it creates a small issue as there's no way for the ground braid to bridge from the body to the head. Ideally what i'd like to do is reinstate the original locking mechanism so when I rebraid the main cabinet it can terminal at the lower section of the lock. Then once the lock is engaged it effectively completes the connection.

So why I am going on about it here?

Well I need the following if some kind soul can help me out:

1. A picture of the mechanism used to do the locking would be handy if anyone has the original and can take a picture from inside the head and the main cab.

2. Does anyone know if the mechanisms can be purchased still or if there's any way to lay my hands on one? Anyone got a spare maybe?

There are other things I could do of course but figured i'd get this bottomed out before I strip the machine to rebraid it.

Thanks

Thanks Dave.

Andy says he can get hold of one for me - not got the funds right now but i'll grab one at some point when i'm ready to start sorting the back end of the cabinet out.
