So I was enjoying a 3way with the missus and a friend........easy now:rofl:
played a good few games and the all of a sudden it turned off :(
Just as the whole thing was working perfectly!

when I switch it on all the correct leds are on on the driver board,(all leds except 3)
all test points read as should but the 50v is at 70v

D19 Processor led comes on and stays on
D20 game ROM led does nothing
D21 Ram led comes on and stays on

Ive reseated all ribbon cables and reseated the game ROM.
All fuses check out ok too

Any ideas?
Thanks

Disconnect everything from the CPU board expect for the power connector.

Power up and measure the +5v on the CPU board.

If D20 is not flashing, and your +5v is good (between 4.8-5.1v is ideal) then your CPU board needs repair

Regards

Luke

OK,
so heres where Im at.

All voltages are good

With everything disconnected from cpu
Led 19 - solid on
Led 20 - off
Led 21- solid on

With the driver board connected every 4/5 seconds the GI just gives a little flash and the relay tries to engage.
Ive reseated all the chips on the cpu except the asic (i dont have the tool)

So looks like shes a goner?

I haven't taken it out yet but it looks to be corrosion free,
I like to think im ok with repairs but have had a bad run of luck lately and might leave this to a pro.

What about the pinled boards?
130e + delivery isnt a bad deal.

Pinled boards are OK but not as good as a repaired original IMO. I'd only really want to use one if nothing else was available. Theres a couple of guys on here who I believe take on board repair work. Try speaking to @lukewells

PinLED boards are all surface mount components, so they will be un-repairable for most people in the future.

I can repair the original boards. Providing it does not have corrosion damage, the WPC CPU's don't usually cost that much to fix

Board is going to luke.
Hopefully it's a quick and easy fix.
My wallets taken a pounding on this game already.
Thanks for the tips everyone

Dave
