Hi chaps,

I recently bought a ramp flap extension kit from Pinbits for my Creech. It's supplied with these rivet clips which you hammer on the back using a nylon tube, sort of a half way house solution I think... I've about exhausted the supply of clips and the fecking things just keep falling off! I was just wondering if there is anyone in the North East that has the right tools to do this properly? I'm happy to pay for the service.

Details on what I'm currently trying to do here: http://www.iobium.com/rivet_clips__riveting_without_a.htm

Cheers, Kris

Ta for the options. Just after I posted this one of the clips held, I backed it up with another two and it seems ok. They are on the drop ramp so can't see these holding up, replicas I'll be in touch when they fail.

Goes without saying but I urge caution fora anyone thinking of using the rivet clip method.

I have used those pinbits rivet things loads of times before I got my press and never had an issue

Funny that Chris, I spoke to Pam and she is sending me a boat load more clips over. She did say people have had troubles in the past and Pinbits have offered to put a proper rivet in, but they are in California. Anyway that's why I just urged caution as it's hit/miss, as opposed to don't buy them. The extended flaps themselves are great and have covered up the minor playfield wear, time will tell whether the drop ramp rivets will stay in...

Those clips are a pain to use with ramps that have a little extra thickness to them. I just couldn't do it with the hammer method when i bought new ramps for my JM because of this. Ended up buying a press and borrowed some dies from a member on here. 10 second job with the press and die.
