Can't believe I missed you, Darren! I didn't turn up till around 10:30pm though....
Here is my video walk through. I did this after midnight when it was a lot quieter.
Was a great setup, gets better each time. Hats off to James for all the work getting that double apartment arcade and break-out landing area sorted in time. We just need to work on the balance of pins to video cabs now. 
certainly looked good, but maybe next time you could think about changing the pinball lineup to include some more recent and more popular titles, as that will bring more folk to pinball. i'm not much of a gamer myself, so if i'd been there i'd have spent most of my time in the pin room wishing for some DMDs ...... and for people unaware of the new force of pinball that is rising, we want to impress them with fun and easily accessible games.
i'm not dissing the older games, but they're not for me, as by the time i got my earliest pinball exposures in the very late 80s and through the 90s, it was already all about modes and ramps and multiball and speech and toys and all that. we all love things as they were in our earliest memories, so the older games will appeal far more to the over-50s, and not bring in the new blood the hobby needs.

I'm with you Dan but do like the older line up at James' already. He prefers the older ones and is a bit of stickler for the 80's era machines.... although he showed signs of weakening on this when I spoke to him last Sat. He's coming over to play the DMD's at mine soon to get a taster, let's hope that has some influence. Would probably means he has to cram or move video cabs out though, the latter I don't expect him to be so keen on.
Anyway, if no success, you (and others here) are welcome over here in the afternoon to get your DMD fix before hitting the oldies over there next time an RGP meet is organised. About 6 or 7 of us off here got together at mine last Saturday afternoon to play my lineup before heading out to James' (which is about 15 miles away from me) in the evening.

We are not trying to "bring more folk to pinball" so not sure really what you are getting at there?
It's a 1980's themed arcade party and those machines have been supplied (from my collection) for their fit in with the ambience / theme of the event. Very few places have 80's machines available to play and so that is another reason why I wanted to create a different lineup than the usual identical lineup of common DMD pins that every single collector has in their gamesroom.
There is more to pinball than just DMD's and Dan you are more than welcome to come down to the next event and I will happily give you a talk and demonstration about why 80's pinball machines are fun to play too

you are right, i spoke out of turn, and agree that your 80s themed arcade party was fantastic, sorry for sounding negative or suggesting fixes to something that ain't broke. and i know you're not trying to bring more folk to pinball, that's just one of my pet subjects - i think we *all* should be trying to spread the word of the magic of the silver ball at every opportunity. i do try to like the older games, and sometimes i have a great time playing on s Space Shuttle or a Jackbot, a Taxi, Star Trek, some of the System 11 games. i loved the 80s for the music and TV as i was just a teenager then, and never got the chance to play pinball til the 90s when i could go out and had my own money.
keep it up, your guests were all super lucky to have something like that organised for them. i also massively respect you personally for your knowledge of the games and how to fix them up and keep them running, so the last thing i wanted was to offend you. mea culpa.
