Have been going over Flik Flak today, and noticed some sticky "flippers" - it seems like someone in the past has gone "oh this is sticking - it must need greasing" 🤦‍♂️

I dont have the option of easilly replacing, since they are manufacturer-spec coils, and the manufacturer went out of business 50 years ago.

Does anyone have any advice on how to remove as much grease as possible? Is it just a case of degreaser and a rag/Cotton wool buds, or is there anything else that anyone can suggest to get rid of as much of it as possible?
It's not "gummed up" with old grease as such - Just sticky....

I'm not sure by looking if it has any sleeve's in there - if so i'll replace... Wont be able to tell until i strip it apart...

Something like this. I’ve used it for years on filthy metal parts and it absolutely rips through dirt and grease 🙌

I’ll try that as I’ve got a bottle in the garage. Thanks!
