Re-platting / brass platting / gold platting ? LOTR ramps and wireframes

Any one re platted lord of the rings ramps and wireframes?

I've seen some cool mod done in brass, however my worry would be it would look like rubbish after a couple of plays.

Thinking of maybe doing mine in something, any advice would be appreciated

i have powder coated wireframes on my AFM and they are holding up with no issue.

Hard to imagine any plating would last long though, its such a thin layer youd think it would wear off pretty quick. Probably best ask the company that does the plating. I guess if they did enough layers it might work but would come at a cost for the additional layers??

Or buy a cheap plating kit of ebay and DIY it.

Hmmm, thanks, something to ponder, I don't want to go to the trouble of doing it and then 4 weeks later they look S****T

Thanks Fubar, I will give the long ramp gold thread a study. I only want the wireframes and ramps done, I personally think the gold legs and lock down bar and side rails is a bit much, I prefer it in black, with gold buttons and feet.

I have found some where in Northern Ireland but needed some info about what to ask, regarding finishing etc as its a bit of a minefield and I can bet £100 they won't have done a pinball part!

When I got my STTNG gun handle powder coated they looked at me like I was a bit mad

Although the wife has just informed me not to be so f***** stupid and if I'm desperate to get some jewellery to get her something instead *lol* she might have a point, there might be a limit to modding *lol*
