As someone who is approaching the end of their first EM project pin, I'd recommend folks pick this up. You will need need some patience and time though, but it's been a really enjoyable experience.

Well now this I’d debatable. I’ve always been into ss machines but on 2 stooooopid occasions I bought an EM machine.
God knows why as I know as much about them as most people do about nuclear science Whilst trying to get both the damn things working I lost the will to live. Made promises to God I knew I couldn’t keep and nearly became an alcoholic. I admire anyone who takes on one of these devils spawn contraptions. I also think you’re mad

yeah this is also a possibility, it can be testing at times for sure. I had watched This Old Pinball DVDs before so had an idea what I was getting into.

The worst that can happen is you find out it's not for you and sell it on to someone else in the community.

What I learned for next time is just go through ever switch contact with my Dremel and small wire brush before even switching it on.

I always switch it on first, look for/sparks/smoke etcget it running then repaint it.

Thats always a temptation but in truth, you are likely adding faults than curing them.

Theres this one. Looks like the lock bar is missing though, but original cab art. Not too sad for the money at the moment.

I've restored a few of these and it's a good game, if you like the theme of course. But set up well, it's a great player.
