Problem with DMDXpress

I just got a V2.1 DMD Xpress from here, and it seems to work OK with a pinDMD1 board connected to a PC (just retried after setting PC up to use it - does flicker on changing scenes, top line or middle line)

However, trying it in a Gottlieb Big Hurt gives me a flickering lines in the middle of the screen (and some other noise), and trying it in a Rocky and Bullwinkle only gives me the top half of the screen (with both top and bottom half displayed in same place)

Is there a firmware update for this or does it not work in Gottlieb and Data East pinballs ?

Answering my own question in case anyone else is interested, it just doesn't (currently) like Gottlieb or Data East

I tried it in a Stern LOTR and it works perfectly, so this one is destined to be fitted to TZ when I can get to it.
