My left pop bumper is going like the clappers on ACDC pro anytime I press another coil such as flippers, assumed it was a sensitive switch, but with cardboard between the contacts it still happens. If I hold a flipper so it cant move it doesn't trigger the bumper when I hit a button.....any ideas?

Are the switch lugs maybe super close together ?

All looks ok at the switch any other ideas please people? Why would a bumper keep firing if the switch isn't making contact?20160703_122613.jpg

The blob of solder on the brown/blue wire is not tuching the metal plate where the switch holding screws? If so then that's a short and probably the cause of your problem. If not the follow the brown/green wire and see what is next in line and see if the diode is broken. likewise for green/brown (or is it purple) wire on the othe switch lug.

Thanks mate, I've found what causes it, the opto in the cannon that is "cannon mark" on the switch matrix fires all the other switches above it on the matrix. Where would I look from here?

The cannon mech is ****e on this as everybody knows, and this is the original mech that needs a new gearbox anyway so will see if putting that all together fixes it?!
