Unfortunately it looks like my FT didn't make the house move in one piece. It powers up fine but the ball release isn't working so using my very limited knowledge I figured I'd test the solenoids using the menu test and found the following problems:
01 (Ball Shooter) - 90% working, sometimes sticks
02 (Catapult) - seems dead but I'm not sure what this is? Reel?
...
10 (Ball Release) - dead
...
12 (Drop Target Up) - audibly firing but I can't see the target moving (assume it's the Caster's Club?)
13 (Drop Target Down) - dead... I think, seems to be a faint knocking sound if that's not me hearing things!
So from what I can see these solenoids don't have particular wires or connections in common. I tried re-seating the connections on the board, and I visibly checked the wires but couldn't see anything obviously hanging off...!
Would I be right in deducing that the solenoids must need replacing for 2 and 10? And that 1 and 12 are more likely something to do with lubrication or alignment?
I'm no good with electronics and don't have (or want
) the ability to test the connections or weld anything... do I need to find someone who can come and repair it?
Any pointers gratefully received - I have moved from Surrey to Devon, can anybody recommend someone in the Devon/Exeter area who would know how to fix this?
Thanks!
