For sale

I'm being moved into the garden room so limited on space and time with projects.

I got this shipped over from the US a few months ago as a project. I've done a bit if fiddling with it but still not managed to get it working as other stuff got in the way.

Game powers on and the monitor is working with GAME OVER screen burn. Board is visibly in good condition with no acid damage.

I tried the 5v hack on it but didn't improve so ordered new edge connectors. Not had time to fit them so will be included in the sale. I have some connectors to make the 5v hack removable when edge connectors disconnected. I'll include these too. I will include 2 spare board sets that I bought on UKVAC. They're complete but acid damaged. Hopefully one decent working board can be made. Or look at using pi posistion etc

I've wiped down the outside of the cab and artwork is in fair condition. I removed the old damaged feet and fitted cabinet sliders.

Glass bezel has small amount of flaking paint.

Needs a new light for the marquee as pin connectors corroded.

Looking for what it's cost me so far £800

Martin due here next week 🤞

I can get more photos tomorrow if needed

pole position boards have a reputation as being the most flakey arcade board ever made, however Mark(retroclinic) does a great job of fixing them, good luck with the sale

Watched a few repair videos and they were pretty overwhelming for my level of knowledge. I was getting different stuff on the screen when playing with the edge connector so thought it'd be best to change that and start with the basics.
If It doesn't sell, arcade shop sell the pi posistion boards for $199 and I have a pi In the loft so could go down that route instead of repair of the existing

My favourite Cab game as a "young adult" on Whitby pier... I could actually get a decent score on this. If my Man Cave were built I'd have this.

A few more pictures

Tried to get a picture of the screen burn. I've seen this on a couple machines so guess it's pretty common 20220108_104915.jpg

Looks like i'm going to keep it and order a pi-position. The misses will be happy

This is back up for sale as the misses keeps banging on about getting it out of the house.

I've replaced one of the edge connectors, fitted pi position, pi, sd card etc. Game plays well except for the gas pedal which could do with a new pot.

I had this on ebay recently with a £1 listing. Plenty of PMs but nothing solid.

£1,200 with the pi position
£1,300 with the pi position, faulty board set and 2 x donor board sets

Tx

Bump. Still available. Someone in Norway was after it but couldn't sort shipping

From my understanding the monitor position is right. It's the cardboard bezel being removed makes it looks like the screen is off. But do agree that the pictures could be clearer and maybe take the glass off for clarity

Final final price drop 🤣

Misses made me move it into the garden room.

£900 all in.

Someone in Manchester is interested in the boards so can split the sale and do the cab and pi for £700 and sell the boards to them for £200
