My Leathal Weapon 3 playfield is in really good condition apart from this damage below the flippers. Fortunately it's mostly on the black parts of the artwork. What is the best way to repair this kind of damage?

Looks like posts have been screwed in.

Mask off the surrounding area,

If the damage needs building up, I would use low viscosity super glue to 'seal' the area -then use paint paint pens, then back to the superglue to protect and build up the area. Take your time and apply thinly with a pipette or put a small drop on the edge or a small cable tie, use tissue to remove excess.

Then sand with 1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000 sand paper.

Polish.

You could then also mylar over that area.

Wont be an invisible repair but it will be better than it is now.
