....and holy sh*t it rocked !! I have not been more impressed or excited about a Stern game for some time

. Loved it, super fast and smooth play, loads going on , some great modes ..... seemed very promising.

It was the LE Wolverine edition - the lighting on it was phenomenal with some really nice effects.

Looked lots better in the flesh than the first pics I saw, even the giant Wolverine toy.

@Shorty's bar, Seattle

Looks like you are the first Brit to have played it. Nice One

Unless anyone else can prove me wrong.

And Gary Flower playing a early proto does not count.

They also had Transformers LE ( not sure exactly which one without looking it up) and ACDC LE ....... oh and 13 other pins ...yes 13 !!! Best bar/pub pin room ever

Enjoyed both of those too, especially ACDC....but XMen really grabbed me.

I've heard of a busman's holiday, but now we have a pinballer's holiday :-) Looks like a great place.

Just don't walk in there without your passport...!

Been to Seattle a few times but havent made it to Shortys (to be fair I didnt know about it before)

Im confused to why you would want your passport, unless you have a knife built into it or something

Apparently there are very strict licencing laws and Shorty himself ensures everyone has ID (local, can be drivers licence - foreign national, then passport is a must) before even entering the premises (at least he did when we were there)... Full Tilt Ice Cream also read the riot act before play started stating "Anyone who is here without ID - don't ask for a beer or I'll chuck you out and not let you back in!". Never got asked for any ID anywhere else in Seattle, even when buying beer(s)...

That will just be with your boyish young looks Pete....

Im sure my withered aul han looks would be fine

Saying that when we where on a cruise last year my wife was asked for ID buying drinks (even with her cruise card) It made her day...

That places sounds great but more interested in how you enjoyed X-Men. I agreed with your previous comments that the pictures made the Toys look too large and silly but it sounds like you were won over by the real thing.

When will these be arriving in the UK?

Played Magneto a couple of weeks ago. Great pin. Fast and furious. Really enjoyed it. Don't think the moving ramp a great idea. My other reservation at the moment having played a dozen games and reading reviews is that it is really difficult and deep which will suit better players but maybe not duff ones like myself:confused:
