Just realised I've owned 15 of the top 30 pins on pinsides top 100.

Not bad considering I bought my first pin 6 years ago and never owned more than 2 at a time :)

How many have you owned?

I'm guessing the yawn was aimed at the entire thread rather than Nick's reply specifically :). Anyway, I've had 31 so beat that people!

Who knows what goes on in @abaxus's mind  Whether it was a yawn at Nick or the whole thread and at @jonathan original poster in my mind it is poor.

I look at some threads and think boring/yawn but I don't put that as to me that is disrespecting. Discuss/argue the point/post by all means but yawn :tut:

He's got an attitude problem in a few threads, cest la vie.

I wasn't bragging btw, I was checking the list for a cheap pin to buy later this year and just noticed I'd had a fair chunk on there

I just find the whole 'top 100' thing very tiresome and believe that people should rate tables based on how they enjoyed it rather than the average of a group of people. What is best should always be a personal decision.

he was only answering a question dude, not showing off. that's what happens after forever in a hobby i guess, i'd like to be in that position in 5-10 years if i have the longevity.

Nick, which one and why not?

It is WoZ, I had the prototype on loan for a few weeks to see if I could like the game after being quite critical of it. It did nothing for me, I unlike others don't see the "amazing" build quality. The thing that did impress me more over time, was the quality of the cabinet art and now the software is more or less complete I'd like to try it again, would I own one? Yes but only at £4500 or less, so I'll probably end up with one eventually and the kids loved it so I can use that excuse when it turns up :p

i agree with abaxas that these lists have limited value, but since we're discussing it, here is the top 30 according to pinside -

i will post up the top 30 according to the other main source below it

as promised, this is what ipdb says on the matter - it also has separated the electronic games from the electromechanical ones.

I've had 14 of the Pinside top 30. But that's OK as most of my all time favourites are not in the top 30. (Apart from Funhouse of course.)

Out of the 14 I've owned my favourites are Funhouse, TSPP and probably LOTR.

My least favourites would have to be ToM, The Shadow and prehaps surprisingly, Creech. - Not saying it's a bad game but was one of my least favs out of the 14 'Top 30' I have owned.

I've owned 3 of the current top 30.
Funhouse
Whirlwind
STTNG

Still have WW, wish I still had FH, don't miss STTNG.

Funhouse is freaking awesome. One of the greats. Written off by a lot of the new blood in the hobby but I still think it holds up really well today.
Off all the different titles I have owned (and it must be 40ish by now) it is the one game that everybody that comes round likes to play.

Sorry. Went off on a bit of a Funhouse praising mission there. Please resume with the topic at hand!

PS> I quite like Funhouse.

It is WoZ, I had the prototype on loan for a few weeks to see if I could like the game after being quite critical of it. It did nothing for me, I unlike others don't see the "amazing" build quality. Yes but only at £4500 or less, so I'll probably end up with one eventually and the kids loved it so I can use that excuse when it turns up :p

I've said it before, don't judge Woz on that proto that was doing the rounds, it played like ****. Code 4.0 is out at the end of this week and that should be it finished. Easily the best code of any game I've played or owned

I've owned just ten of the top 30 games on Pinside out of the 36 that have been through my collection.

I do have a passion for early SS Ballys & System 11 games that often never make the top 100 let alone the top 30!

That's interesting - the WOZ at the local bowling alley disappeared last night. I asked where it had gone & the geezer said it had gone for a software update.
