Maybe a bit of a pipe dream and a boring subject in a world where people are buying 10k LE pins.
But I am a big fan of the older games and I was wondering what pins people think are still obtainable for a grand?

I personally have a real soft spot for Operation thunder and I'm on the look out.
But with a few of the resellers on Facebook getting some top prices for mediocre games and even projects. Is the days of a grand game gone?

First game I would think as it is currently for sale is James Monte carlo. But once the mpu is fixed or replaced then it will probably be over a grand.

Cheers
Mark

some working gottliebs still struggle over a grand

some system 11 have never been popular enough to command big money - why Im keeping and trying to loan roadkings as they usually sell for £800 so not worth the bother of selling for the enjoyment I get from them.

and most EMs inc working ones dont pass a grand

Vector still goes for under a grand.
I bought popeye off Chris for a grand.
And just picked up a project fishy for 400.
That is a bit of a bargain for a Fish tales mate. I'm assuming it is missing boards?

Yeah, Vector is one game that can be had pretty frequently for under a grand. You used to see Motordome a lot but haven't seen one for ages.
I assume people are just happy to keep cheaper games them in storage than sell nowadays

I only paid £800 for my Cyclone which I was happy with. Just a pity games like Taxi and that are creeping up.

I'm surprised you haven't loaned Road Kings yet mate. It is a fun game. I would of baby sat it but the time I pay Martin to collect and drop it off, its a bit expensive for short term.
I'm sure someone will love it.

It has the boards, but the MPU is acid damaged, and 2 of the tantalum caps on the sound board exploded in fireworks on the first power on. I think they were celebrating being awoken from cryogenic sleep. 🎉 The rest of the game is trashed too - new playfield, plastics, ramps reqd. It's going to cost about 1500 in parts to get nice again, so while it seems like a bargain, it probably isn't! ;)

Cool simple game though

I was all excited there for a second. But I reckon someone will be along the now to convince him it is worth 2k and don't let the fools on pinball info convince you other wise.

@M4carp I didn't think I would get a courier to head out that far as Martin has refused before. But you must of had a few dropped off before

It’s a right pain here, Birmingham transport has been here but I’ve met him many more times than he has been here to make it easier. Having a van comes in handy.
If anyone got a deal on it, I could pick it up and then work out how you get it. Plenty of easy storage here.
