Pins in the wild

Travelling back from Spain in the motorhome and came across this bad boy on a campsite in Valance south of Lyon. Needs a bit of work but played OK (unlike me) needless to say I tried to buy it from the campsite owner but didn’t get anywhere🤣🤣🤣

Came across these two yesterday in Jandia, Fuerteventura.
Didn't play Spider-Man (although I'm very fond of the game), but Ghostbusters (Premium?- had the ecto-goggles) played o.k, despite the Slimer mech being broken (just stayed fixed in one place near the ramp).
Both games looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 10 years unfortunately:-(
Was still nice to be able to play pinball for 10 minutes on holliday though:-)

Found a black Spider-Man in a hotel arcade in belek turkey, absolutely filthy and the flippers stuck up once pressed. Managed to get doc oc multi ball but pointless when the flippers don’t work. What a waste!

A very poorly Toy Story in the Yumbo Gran Canaria. Filthy, playfield lights not working, upper flipper not working & flipper rubbers perished.

New place in York opened up I believe about an hour’s drive from Whitby - I’m sure @rosflip can tell you more. Played those pins in Whitby- as is often the case, Ref Funland in Whitby- was there last year- AIQ pretty much unplayable as not levelled, TAF turned off, GB played fine, T2 didn’t bother playing

On a recent visit to a Munich we went to Motor World museum and saw a lovely Flash & Corvette

Also in Germany just by Munich airport was Bowling Castle in Erding. They had 9 machines mostly LE's in pristine condition too.

Spacebar Arcade in Sunderland have a nice little selection of Insider Connected games with a digital scoreboard- Stranger Things is a Premium, the rest are all Pro’s, only managed to play a few games on Jaws and a bit of D&D, both played nice. Daughter is Stranger Things obsessed and is now demanding we get one- UV ink made it look impressive during the upside down phase, can’t believe Stern didn’t fit this as standard on the Pro (actually…. It’s Stern- I can believe it šŸ˜‚) . Arcade itself was very good fun, reasonable prices - kids and their mates enjoyed it. Pinball machines running on Nayax type reader or with Ā£ coins

Visited the new pin line up in SpaceBar today. They are all connected to a scoreboard now which is cool. I hadn't played Kong or DnD. Loved Kong, although Godzilla probably still pips it. DnD played like a Stern home pin by comparison. I'd be wounded if I'd dropped £8500 on one (sorry anyone that did!)

Visited Retrodome in Barnsley S70 1LP, which is new to me, it’s a arcade place where you pay for a days admission where you can come & go as you please, prices are great value at about Ā£13 for adults and about Ā£9 for kids and everything is on free play, they have 13 pinballs in a dedicated ā€œPinball Alleyā€ they had quite a mixture of pins current line up, in no particular order Jaws, the walking dead, stranger things, turtles, avengers infinity quest, TAF, RFM, TNA, thunder birds, Star Trek(newest one), sopranos, ghostbusters & Whirlwind.

It was great to see so many pins in one place, i really enjoyed the walking dead, turtles & ghostbusters managed to get into these really easily and start some sort of feature with ease. Loved the multi coloured lights on avengers! First time I’ve played TNA it’s quite a nod back to the old layouts. My lad was blown away by RFM and really liked the arcade screen interaction (he can’t remember the one we used to have at home? It was a few years back!!) I was really looking forward to playing JAWS, but couldn’t seem to get it going? It kept getting caught up on the caster? And seemed to stop for the screen film clips too often?
On the whole this place was great for pinballs and arcades we arrived at 11 & left at 4 and had a fantastic time, I’d recommend having a visit.
