Lots of big European comps are posting up info, opening for tickets etc. for the upcoming season at the minute - just wondered if there is anything forthcoming soon about the Pinfest comps if the intention is to give the best chance of attracting overseas players and the like?

Appreciate it’s a way off but never too early to get some hype going!

Thanks,

Simon

Agreed, the trio of Paul, David and Claire ran an amazing comp didn’t they, especially with the latter two only joining the team at short notice

Thanks Arv and for your initial poster on the Classics

Was hoping to get a bit more detail on expected format, ticket prices, is there an aim for this to be IFPA certified etc (particularly for the main) - then it can be advertised properly beyond just the dates.

You're getting sucked in Simon 😆

The hotel sold out within hours.

There will be numerous comps, as there always is.
It will be the biggest pinball social event of the year, as it always is.

I doubt anybody is hanging on for the specific details of a comp before deciding to come.

The Classics Comp is being ran by Shaun and Eve
The Ladies Comp is being ran by Ailsa.
The Open Comp is being ran by Wayne, Janice & Todd.

What a shame. It's such a shame that ego manages to destroy so much good that happens.

Wayne, for someone who has experienced hurt from the feeling that they have been bullied, it's such a shame that your response to that experience isn't one of positivity and to take the moral high ground. But as we saw in the other thread to take snipes and digs and frankly be the bully yourself.

Simon started this thread because he is keen and wondered if there was any more info on the comps at Pinfest. Your response as the Head TD of the main competition was basically, nothings been organised, you get no info, but get your tickets and shut up, because apparently no one decides whether they are coming to Pinfest based on competitions.

Not a good look. What a shambles

There really is no ego here at all.

To finalise the full details of the Open comp needs liaising with all of the other comp organisers, as well as others, to ensure that there are no clashes, everything runs smoothly, etc. As well as listening to feedback from the previous year about people's preferences.

People have issues in real life that are far more important and quite rightly take priority. Things such as losing their job, having major surgery, dealing with bereavement, caring for a loved one.

If you, or anybody else feel that these things are more important than a pinball comp, so be it.

I'm not even going to demean myself regarding your comments about bullying.

Chill Folks - there will be pinball and there will be comps. There will be official comps and unofficial comps. There will be stall ball, main comp, classic comp, Womens comp, NBA comp. Naked pinball comp, Tipsy Pinball (you can only compete if you are 5X over the legal limit). If that's not enough make some new friends and have a mini comp with them on the 100 or so freeplay games. :D:D

I considered suggesting this when that breathalyser machine came up for sale on here, you have to blow over a certain limit to qualify to set a score, the twist was you had to put a quid in the machine to provide your sample as the entry fee and you forfeited you entry cost if you blew below.
