someone in manchester, i got the confirmation yesterday i had registered it but today it seems not. Lets hope something good happens to it.
 
So it's with it's third owner, only time will tell.

Thanks for the video. I was one of the interviewers on the video and have never seen it before.
I remember the day well - apart from the interviews. Based in Haslemere Village Hall near to where Bob lived. Daily Telegraph visited and there was an article in the paper the next day about us . Good fun day.

People from the video who are still alive include Jim Waters, John Whyatt, Steve Pagett, Ad Jonker, Simon Holman, Derek May and David Blake . At the time, BOP was the new game on loan from Deith Lleisure. No longer with us are Bob and Justin Williams who died not so long ago. I hope to keep my pinballs going for a few years yet.

Just found a old pinball paradise sticker in a new machine I picked up (old school phone number area codes so from a while back) machine looks to have been well maintained before it was stored for many years so interesting to hear about a bit of the history.

That's the original PP, I bet the machine is in great condition that it came out of , all of Bob's machines were top notch.

Yes the playfield and mechanics are lovely, cabinet is tired but that clearly happened over the years in storage since.

This sticker brings back alot of good memories for me. My dad(rip) was a good friend of bobs and we had many fun trips to Holland buying machines back in the day! and also alot of help fixing our games in the late 80s. haha We also learned from him what a proper full strip down restoration looks like!

Alot of my technical knowledge started from bobs vast memory of things and i spent alot of time with him where he helped to explain how stuff worked. Top bloke, and someone who certainly never took any **** either!!

Random thought -->, one spring/summer whilst i was at university (mid/late 90s), bob was wanting some new flyers created for his hiring business or sales flyers to promote games etc so he asked me to bring a few friends over to appear playing games and for use on these flyers etc.

When we got there, he said to me, "first job, get that box unpacked and setup". --> Was a NIB Cirqus Voltaire!! Great memories. RIP bob!!!

What a fantastic video and piece of history!
I've had advice in the past from the very helpful David Blake. Never met him, so it was good to see him in the video! Bob Thompson did an MPU board repair on my Centaur when I was 21 (I'm now 59) and I joined the POA and had their magazines which I still have! Bob rescued my board from Battery Corrosion and got my game working and I was eternally grateful. Very sad when I found out years later of his passing. I remember hearing that his own massive collection of machines consisted of many that others had never heard of.

David you were so helpful on the phone when I had problems and though we never met it was great to watch this video and see who I was talking to!
As I said previously, Bob saved my Centaur MPU and I was also a member of the POA. I joined when I was 21 and I'm 59 now.

It was in storage for a long long time but is up and running again and getting played daily, I love it
