Pinball machines now available at Roadchef services

@David retro went to play some Venom at Sedgemoor yesterday and very much enjoyed it. The back plastic panel above the roll over lanes has sheered/fallen off and is just sat in the rollover lanes meaning it's impossible to make full orbit shots and balls will often get stuck. Other than that it played great, still not really sure what I'm doing on Venom, but a bit more of an understanding. Thanks again for siting the games.

Cheers, Craig
I know what that issue is, the diverter is just 2 posts screwed into the plastic. They’ve come off and as it’s fallen, it’s probably broken the opto housing (this exact thing happened to another pro)

That sounds exactly right, clever man

Thank you for the kind words I’ll get someone to have that sorted
Much appreciated for the heads up

when we went to the Ann Arbor pinball museum last month every machine had a unique QR code for reporting faults. The form had tick boxes for common faults and a free form box for describing anything else. It was very easy to use.

Whilst most punters won't bother I guess, there's enough of us players visiting these sites to provide useful feedback (and there's little more frustrating than finding a game, realising it doesn't work properly, and have no way of reporting it! )

Can you add them to pinball maps app David as and when you put them into circulation? This seems to be a good way of people finding them in addition to IC app maps for Stern
I would love to know what these apps are/where to get them and also good for the UK for finding them I assume?

One is called Pinball Map, that’s the main one. I do a lot of work keeping it up to date and so do many others. This is also the main app in the USA. If you go to a venue and find that the machines have changed / been removed then do update it, might save somebody else a journey.

The other referred to is the Stern Insider Connected app. As a map it’s not as good as it only shows Stern internet-connected machines where the venue is registered as a business. It is sometimes out of date but if a machine is showing as “online” at a venue there is an extremely good chance it is there.

Yeah I got it, just was not sure if I found the right app or not and there's also insert coin but that's a more general lesser used app I assume?

Is good to have though, especially if I ever start doing anything with my machines in the near future too.

Insert Coin is the main app used in France and is also a bit wider than pinball. I added a load of UK locations to it in case there were tourists over here as it’s not that much more effort for me, but it’s definitely inferior to Pinball Map in the UK

Makes sense, I have it anyways so definitely useful to have up as a option when out and about places further from home.. being next to derby I don't have much options sadly :(
