Hi all,

I know that this subject comes up from time to time. I currently have my insurance with Oakfield who, up until last year, covered the pins in my outbuilding. My insurance is due for renewal soon and would like some advise on any other options open to me, the Oakfield insurance premium was significant last year. I think that my outbuilding is more secure than my house and challenging to get them out so I am really insuring against fire. Any advice would be appreciated. Oakfield have done a brilliant job for me the last 7 years.

Many Thanks

M&S, if the can quote for you claim to cover the outhouse to the same value.
Aviva insurance underwrite them but if you go directly, the small print only covers £7500 for theft, full cover for fire etc. Cheaper on the quote than my previous years with Oakfield too.

M&S wouldn't cover our house and circumstances, so we went with Aviva.

It is andrew Copland insurance - ACI - got a decent price for 8 pinballs in converted garage and the pin shed

Thanks all for the advice. One thing to note if anyone is taking out insurance with M&S is that one of the assumptions of the standard policy is that the property is not used for business use. I work from home (for an employer) and this is classed a minimal business use which I declared, this increased the premium. Service was good from them.

Appreciate the help, thank you

Went with M&S too. Started yesterday as my premium with Oakfield/CMI was going to be £1100+ per year.

Went with M&S
