Pinball Hall of Fame

Going to Vegas for my stag do in March although I don't think the other lads will let me nip off for a few hours to play pinball! :tut:

Careful they don't tie you naked to 'Pinball Circus' and post the ultimate 'Kudos' photo on interweb.

If you like pinball, you would have to be insane to not visit the pinball hall of fame while you are actually in Vegas

Yeah, you'll more than likely run into Mr Wells too, he practically lives there! ;)

Great line up of modern Sterns in NY-NY in the arcade buy the roller coaster and a few in the Excaliber Arcade along with the Star Wars Battlepod. If you are near the Stratosphere there was a walking dead in the 1st floor arcade.

Any recommendations for hotels? I'm with the family. NY-NY may be an option now :)

There are also some pins and about 200 videogames in Circus Circus. They are above the casino and also spread around the adventure dome

If you are driving, stay just off the strip in one of the time share place, they are much more luxurious and half the price.

If you stay on the strip, you have to pay a "resort fee" which is $10-20 per day and is not quoted in your hotel price.

If not driving then you will want to stay on the South end of the strip as you'll have more in walking distance. Luxor/Excalibur/New York New York should be in the reasonable priced range and have good access to various properties by walkways and tunnels.

If you want more upmarket hotels, then you will want to stay in South-Central properties (Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, City Center, Venetian, Pallazo, etc) by they are much more pricey

Rental cars are about a third of the price of the UK (and so is fuel) so I recommend driving unless you are planning on having a "drinking holiday"

If you go to "Town Square" (South of the strip) there is a large Gamesworks at the back end of the square, that has bowling / pinball / videogames / food etc

If you got to Fremont Street (North end) accross onto Fremont East there is a gaming lounge / nightclub where you rent boths to play games. In the Comic book store nearby (at the bottom of Neonopolis) there are usually a few arcade machines in there.

There is a computer store to the left of the Pinball hall of fame that has a few arcade and pinball machines in it (as well as a collection of consoles through the ages which is quite interesting)

There are hundreds of other games/pinball machines scattered throughout hotels / bars / shopping centres / petrol stations / diners etc

There is a place called "Highscore Barcade" that has a few games and of course beer!

If anyone needs any recommendations for places to eat or activities let me know. Vegas has some amazing food too

Anywhere on the Strip really depending on your budget. Use the monorail to get around from one end to the other. Older Casino's are a bit tired like Circus Circus & Stratophere. Cheaper hotels at The old strip "Fremont Street" which is worth a visit in the evening for the entertainment and light show.

The monorail is not as useful as it used to be as not all the stations are open anymore.

The all day bus passes are usually better as you can use them anywhere in Vegas (so you can get the bus to pinball hall of fame as well on the Tropicana CAT route) $8 for 1 day or $20 for 3 days

As you might have guessed if anyone is thinking of going to Vegas then speak to Luke first, there's not much he doesn't know about Las Vegas.

Caesars Palace. Went in 2010 and paid $100 a night for one of the cheap rooms. Tipped the bloke on the desk $50 and he upgraded us to a suite.

I went last year, missed loads of pins in the arcades but did get to Pinball Hall of Fame, unfortunately totally knackered and in the aftermath of too much drinking... Definately needs a sober day allocated to it. Pinball Circus is ace !
