Hi
So a couple of weeks ago i took a road trip down the east coast of America from San Francisco to LA, then inland to Palm Springs and Las Vegas
It was awesome to see that pinball is still very alive in the USA
We found a few lines of 10 - 12 machines in Santa Cruz and many single machines in bars along the coastline.
In Las Vegas I discovered the 'pinball hall of fame' - basically a warehouse, open to the public to play.
They had at least a couple of hundred pins, and some other old classics too.
The place is not flash at all, refreshments very limited from a vending machine (i think they are missing a trick as i am sure proper refreshments would be successful).
When we visited, there must have been 70+ customers.. it seems a popular place.
Very much a working workshop, a tech was busy repairing the machines in the line ups, and they had a sectioned off return area at the back.
They had all of the classics plus many great machines that i had never seen before.
It was a real treat
Most games were 50c a game... I changed $20 and struggled to spend it all in the 3 hours we were there
