4 weeks since Tilt closed and 4 weeks since I played pinball...

So I woke up this morning and booked myself flights to Chicago!

Who else is heading to Pinball Expo this year?

What hotels have peeps booked?

Not going this year, but last year, the Wyndham Gardens was very passable last year - pleasant walk round the pond to get to the exhibition centre (hmmm - I'm assuming it's in the same place)

I'm there with 3 others. I'll let them post here if they want to. We are in the Hyatt Place. Wyndham Gardens was cheapest place and very convenient but gets lots of terrible reviews so we didn't want to risk it. We are also going to Ann Arbor pinball show (near detroit) the weekend before.

Not at all. Personally, I just don't see it as the right thing to post publicly what other people are doing in their lives.

I'll be back again, managing and recording all the seminars. Not seen this year's schedule yet but hopefully only one seminars room to manage this time.

Always fun trying to get through airport security with all those cameras and recording kit.

The Renaissance is getting better at hosting the pinball crowd by keeping one of the bars open late, which last year avoided some of the BYOB crowd together with the more vigorous singing around the fire pit. Shame, as I kind of missed that.

The Renaissance's convenience certainly comes at a price though, even at show rates. If you don't need to return to the room often, staying elsewhere and getting an Uber is often cheaper and gives better dining options.
