(I think posted this in the wrong section the other day, so moving to here..)
Afternoon all, I've not had this machine long but have had a blast on it so far and am still seeing new modes as I get better at it.
One of thr best light shows around and when the volume is up the music is awesome and very atmospheric.
Putting up for sale or possible trade, as a few other machines are calling my name (would love a Metallica Premium, or maybe a Stranger Things with UV kit or maybe even a nice Ghostbusters or iron Maiden- try me!) - in the absence of a trade, I'll be buying a RFM down the line and so in no rush.
Sale price is what I paid for it; £7,500 - will also throw in my Alien head/makeshift topper (owned from new since 2006 - my wife will be happy to see that go LOL
-will need some velcro strips or whatever to fix to machine)
I'm based in East London (Upton Park) and you are welcome to come and play to check it out if interested in buying/trading. Martin has delivered/collected to/from here a few times now.
In the meantime, here was the original listing from when I bought it https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/pinball-brothers-alien-standard-edition-with-mods-£7-500.54426/
Has mirror blades fitted (Mirrored but with some cool green flecks which suit the theme)
Motion tracker mod
Green powder coated legs
Drop ship model
Little Ripley in powerloader figure
@Colywobbles ' plastic protectors fitted (green)+some other bits like coin door plate+appron stuff.
Also comes with mypinballs' modified lane guide for near the eggs/pops/ upper right flipper, but I didn't fit that, as found the feed from the pops to upper right flipper lane to be to my liking as is.
A playfield protector was fitted (I understand from new) and you can see a few areas where there some air must be trapped underneath when applying- you can't see them from the angle you play from/when playing however (especially when playing in the dark as you should...) and doesn't affect gameplay.
Alien head "topper" - pictured below as an example but I didn't actually attach it to the backbox (with velcro stripe or something) incase the next owner didn't want it/I want to keep it.
When I initially bought the game initially a few problems occurred which are now sorted:
Upper right flipper was sticking- this sorted itself out after a few or so plays; maybe it was condensation or something due to being stored enroute?
A fuse blew in the controller box (resulting in dead left hand side flippers, no saucer kickout and errors on startup) I replaced all 3 fuses as per pinball bros' support suggestion and zero problems since.
The hypersleep captive ball mech would sometimes have trouble rising and releasing balls; loosened a screw in the plastic cover a bit and all good now.
Adjusted hypersleep ramp a bit as per pb bros support suggestion, as at times balls would get stuck in the bend of the hypersleep ramp, due to being a little too tight - sorted now - very satisfying shot when you nail it for hypereep multiball!
When I received it, it was also making some noise in the backbox; turns out it was just a wire behind the screen rubbing against the fan; sorted that out my taping down the wire.
Currently the only issue is the light has stopped working in the right xeno target (switch still works however) - needs a new switch ordering which costs about €16. (As per link to European supplier from pb bros support)
Airlock kickout could use some tweaking, as at times can kickout SDTM (maybe just crappy leveling or adjustment to strength in the settings needed though)
Got to self destruct mini wizard mode for the first time the other night; has to be one of the most incredible light shows I've ever experienced (and that's without beacons on the cab..); will try and get footage of that when I film...)
Would also consider a trade involving a Metallica.
Here are a couple of pics from when it arrived when I rested the Alien head on top:
