Bought these off @Hiltoncriss just before xMas 2022

Pros
- cab in good shape
- everything works
- has RFM pf installed (with backglass)
- comes with SWEP1 pf + rom card + bag of LEDs + plunger + backglass
- all original computer and monitor (nice and bright)

Cons
- cabinet decals around legs is a bit tatty
- couple very minor glass scratches (can’t see unless look for them)

The RFM pf is in good condition & extremely clean. no wear or broken plastics etc… works perfectly.

The SWEP1 pf is in exceptional condition almost like factory new. Comes in the original box with all the manuals etc.. and a while rom card to make swapping back and forth extremely easy.

Swapping between games is as easy as sliding out and swapping the pfs and then sliding out the pc and just swapping the whole rom card. Also swapping the plunger for a button. Everything is included.

Asking £5k for everything.
Location Bristol or Martin knows where I am.

I have not personally, not sure about @Hiltoncriss?
There is a Ethernet cable in there so assume can be updated easily?

If it is original computer then you can get an app from @myPinballs to stick his code in.
I do not use the extra ball option and the shaker but the software is now much more stable.

God I would have this in a heartbeat - shame you dont like Super Hoop @russdx1 .

Personally I would be installing an LCD and new computer, along with the different launcher on RFM and combine the plunger and start button like Robert Winter (I think that is his name) did.

Pinbox senses what PF it is plugged into and selects that.

But anyway - could start the usual discussion vs modern/vintage hardware....

Depends on various things. Looks original software to me. Which I just don’t understand running these days! Seeing as you’ve not had it long I would have thought you’d upgrade it and get the benefits yourself. A bonus for the next owner then..

The @myPinballs updates make so much difference to the RFM gameplay and not that hard to update with a USB serial cable and a laptop. Just feels more complete. Good luck with the sale.

Could you point me in the direction of the update procedure and I’ll give it a go :)

I’ll install the new software but lcd/pc upgrade can be upto the buyer :D

Yeah that super hoop game just did not gel with me sadly (and I like my basket ball games hehe)

If i could get hold of the star wars source, then there's a lot i could do, maybe one day!! And doing away with this ridiculous shooter button/rod change over is job 1, ie auto launcher on star wars and a different prong launch mech on rfm!!

Nah. Easy. Done it before.

Worked well @myPinballs
yeah well aware of this and that's what i'm kinda meaning but with adding functionality to have an auto shooter coded in star wars to, and maybe use an action button for rfm smart bombs instead so you don't have to modify the shooter, but anyway this is a sale thread not an rfm/swep1 discussion! sorry for the derail

The having to manually plunge on SWEP1 multi ball really put me off the game, multi ball games should always be automatic!!! (You can tell I drive a automatic Lolol)

Gotta agree with the above. Jims code for RFM was a game changer when I had my machine. I didnt have a laptop with a serial connector to do the update but found a port replicator thing on ebay for £12 and that worked a treat. The game was so much better with the new code. Definitely a must for the new owner!

I think it started off life as a RFM then was converted to a SWEP1 via the kit. I just much prefer RFM so put that PF back in. No RFM decals they are probably under the SWEP1 ones? @Hiltoncriss might no it’s history?

SWEP1 does have a little skill shot on launch.

JPop hated autolaunch. They had to fight to get one on ToTAN. ToM really needs one too, that should have a multiball restart.

I think the Robert Winters way is the best.

Does SWE1 even need a real launch? Is there a skill shot? Can not remember.
I think you mean cv but yes I could talk for quite awhile about John and auto launchers!! MG has an auto launcher now to :)

I was thinking the same on sw. The skill shot is kind of rubbish anyway. If I ever get the code I could make another skill shot that doesn’t require a manual plunge anyway.

Does this hardware have functionality to adjust coil strength? You could add skill shot to auto plunge with how long you press the button for?

You could do lots of things, but @myPinballs can not sell the software for RFM or SWE1 unless he licensed it, I believe this is why the RFM updates are free, with the option to donate which I always try and do if I remember!
SWE1 would need work doing on the wiring as well to accomodate the auto launcher.
To implement all these ideas takes time in the software and what is the point if you are not going to earn out of it, or want to do it for yourself?

Keep looking at these pics - would really love an RFM agsain......

Yes - CV.
You are correct.
It always peed me off that ToTAN did not have auto launch - and ToM for ball saves in multiball.

For you I’ll even throw in your decals you gave me :D

The point is to make games better foremost and extend the enjoyment of owning them. Licenced/unlicenced software makes no difference as you don't earn much money from software updates. That model is long gone, everyone expects free software these days, though donations are always welcome. What i do mainly is include hardware upgrades that get unlocked with new software upgrades and that's what drives the project and helps keep the lights on here. So, if i ever get the software for SWEP1 then expect hardware updates for it just like RFM, starting with an autolauncher and six ball trough support.

SWEP1 spoken for now

left with RFM in cab with SWEP1 decals :D £3500
