Hello there, just putting the feelers out on this.

Basically I bought my first pin a few months ago, a Getaway HS2. It was a complete wreck (bad eBay description, lessons learned!) and I had a guy come in to bring it up to a playable level.

It currently is that but still needs some serious TLC: lots of bulbs are out, needs a new DMD, could do with a complete strip and clean to be honest.

Thought I would have the time/money to make this a project doer upper but have just not managed it. I just want a machine I can switch on and play and only needs small fixes now and then to give me a chance to learn how to maintain machines at a decent pace. I've just bitten off more than I can chew with this one.

So what I thought was that someone out there may want to take this off my hands for their own project, in exchange for one of their machines with cash from me going your way.

Will consider any DMD machine but have a preference for 90's Williams/Bally (except STTNG as have bought that as my second machine). Obvs needs to be in good condition but not bothered about mint.

I estimate my machine to be worth around £500-600 and is based near Reading, Berks.

I am a total noob so appreciate any help or advice. Will get some more detailed photos up soon but just testing the water first.

Yes I would. What do you value your machine at? Can you send me details please?

It's a1996 Sega, Independence Day. I've had it since November 2012. It's been pretty reliable since then with only a couple of minor issues. It's based on the movie staring Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum and is a great game to play. I've grown tired of it and have a STTNG, PPY and JD as well. I posted a YouTube video of it when I bought it. It'll be at the East Anglian Pinball Show on 27&28 June. See the website for details www.eapse.simplesite.com

I'd value it at around £700-£750. If you can bring your Getaway over to Ely on that weekend and it's not a complete wreck then I'd swap.

Thanks for that, just checking if I can logistically make the plans for that weekend. Never played Independence Day though.

If you send me your email I'll send some pictures and we can chat some more privately.
