Well not really - Foakleys
Always loved the X- Metal Juliet’s.
My originals (last photo) seen better days.
I decided to give China a try with their clone version….
Thought, 50 quid delivered for 2 x sets of 😎 with Polarised lenses?
Well have to say, very impressed indeed.
To get new originals are unobtanium.

I’ve got several pairs of expensive sun glasses. I always forget to take them off when I’m strimming the garden and all of them are peppered with chips on the lenses. It’s Tesco £5 ers for me nowadays

Yeah, habit of walking around with sunnies pushed above onto my head.
Was wearing a set of Oakley Pit Boss and banged my head against the garage door…
500 quid lesson learned 🙄

Last year I sold my minty Romeo 2’s on EBay for double what I paid back in 2005. I was genuinely shocked they’d become collectible. Shipped to Cyprus- bought by a lifeguard 😎

I’ve had a pair of Maui Jim’s wrap around polarised for years, they seem indestructible!
Used them in the boat at sea, lakes, driving, garden work, been dropped, lenses popped out, polished the lenses as scratched from drops.
Think they cost about £140 at the time, had Ray-Ban’s before and never lasted long.
Shame you can’t get these frames anymore, just looked.

I have some immaculate metal Juliets but the nose bushes perished in them so annoying.

Can be fixed, I know a great guy close to me that does a mega work repairing Oakleys.
Just got my two pair done totally 're rubbered. Now like new.

Had a pair of Romeo 1s since early 2000s but managed to lose them a couple of years ago. Absolutely gutted. Bought a couple of pairs of the Chinese knock-offs for £25 each. They aren't bad but not the same colour ( originals were titanium I think). Still have the lenses from the originals as they were both cracked so I replaced them with cheapo ones - Romeo 1s frame was jointed top and bottom and often cracked the lenses when it flexed

Have had an embarrassing amount of Oakleys. First got them to stop me buying cheaper shades every time I saw them. Mostly ewires as they fit my mug well.

lost more than I care to admit. Still have a few pairs lying about. juliets, x-metals (couldn’t remember their name so thanks Sako) now mainly use a pair of carbon blades that wife bought me a few years ago in Ferrari store..
