Just managed to get my NGG back on its feet and have a play on it. Everything seems pretty good

The disk spinner it working fine but its kind of loud. Now I was playing in an empty garage with the glass off but does anyone know if this is just a loud part or am I looking at a bit of trouble on the horizon?

It's probably got 20 years worth of crud on or rather in it. If you can't live with the noise it's making you could try getting it out and blasting it with air (to help blow as much of the crud out as you can), then apply a small amount of penetrating lubrication to the drive shaft. Run the motor again (watch out for flying lubricant might be best to do outside). You may need to repeat a few times to help clear 20 years worth of crud. Alternatively, if money's no object then you could buy a new motor and replace.

I might take it out and give it a clean. Never thought of all the crap, rest of the machine is filthy!
