So I was chatting to @alchy last night and we were discussing if there was anything new coming out of the US and more specifically the cointaker stables with regards to LED's, since people are always commenting they are too bright.
Anyhow, apparently there is a new "colour" of LED being produced now. It's ideal for the back of a machine, usually on the sides or corners of the machine. The new LED's, or DED's as they are known (Dark Emitting diodes), work at 180 Degrees of natural light, and basically remove light from particular areas of the playfield (Much like Echo cancelling headphones).
Personally i think it's kinda cool... cant wait to see what mods become available - should add for a lot more flexibility on the playfield
