New members - say hello right here : )

Hi Guys and Girls, newb here. I remember playing Lethal weapon 3 back in the day and loving it, also i remember playing Adams family. So i am looking to get a lw3 and doing some maintenance and upgrades myself. I would also really like a Mandolorian and maybe a Guns & Roses or Ac/dc. But first i need to move house and build my Cave. Currently in Dartford and moving to Biggin hill. Think i have watched nearly all of Gonzo's videos! Just about to go away for a week but hope to get out and play some pinball locally when i am back (medway, brighton) Hope to meet some of you soon, Jamie

@Lizard_LM24 you might want to check in with seller. Not sure what the current status is. Might be the ideal project.

If you get round to Pinball Republic in Croydon they have both an LW3 and an Addams (and about 70 others… but no Mando or GNR)

Good luck with the move and the cave!

Hello everyone! I've been on here for a little while and I really wanna buy myself a project pin, I've never done maintenance or repairs so I'm totally inexperienced but I HAVE gathered quite a lot of knowledge on pinball machines over the past few years! I also really wanna make some custom machines too, I have some themes I have thought about extensively and have a whole trilogy of original pin themes planned out! (once I get started on those I will post about them) I'm getting sidetracked but I've got my eyes out for Party Zone, Judge Dredd and Whirlwind projects! (they're the main 3 games I really want to get) I'm also a really big fan of theme parks! Specifically Alton Towers.

Welcome, those are very lofty aspirations!

Not sure if you’ve seen it but there is a homebrew with a rethemed Whirlwind playfield which does the rounds on the US show circuit themed on The Greatest Showman: https://www.kineticist.com/post/greatest-showman-interview

Good luck!

Hi Nemesis

It’s a long story, but I have a Chicago Coin Gunsmoke EM machine you can have for £175, which is what I paid for it.

I’d been trying for years to replace the CC Playtime machine I had in the 1970s, and this one came up, which is the sister machine, so in desperation I thought I’d buy it on a long project – the machine is all there but had stood in a garden shed for about 30 years!

So I bought it, but sods law, would you believe, I had a near mint Playtime machine offered to me just two weeks later!!! After all that time!!

So, it’s there if you want it, but won’t take any offers as I just want to get my money back, and of course, you would have to collect it from Ipswich

Let me know, one way or the other?

Ta 😊

Would love to see some photos of it.
Was that 30 year ago £175?
I'll take and post some photies tomorrow, and it was a couple of months ago I paid the £175 😉 If only the Playtime machine had been offered to me two weeks earlier (Grrrrr!!) I would never had bought the Gunsmoke 😟

Sounds like a very cool idea.

Willing to share the retheme ideas?
I think I phrased it weird but I’m not planning on doing any rethemes, I want to make the custom machines from the ground up, I’ve found a few people who sell custom pinball starter kits that come with flippers and stuff like that so I’m hoping to make a custom layout and either make the cabinet or find a cheap empty one. But they’ll have custom themes that tie in with eachother, I’ve already figured out the over arching storyline for them! They’re gonna be called Overdrive, Uncle Freek’s Irradiated Retreat and Rikky Arzok’s Shopping Mall Mayhem. Some of them are more fleshed out than others but I have some pretty solid ideas for all of them, I’m also thinking about making some Alton Towers themed machines but I’m prioritising Overdrive and Uncle Freek’s for now.

Hi, I’m not very familiar with how this site works but I’m very interested! is there any way for me to message you directly about this machine?

Under every post there is the option to "Start Direct Message" - might be visible or you have to click the drop down arrow next to the 3 dots next to "Report"

To save you some effort, this machine has been sold (there is a thread for it in the “for sale” section

Hello I have been into the hobby for a little over a year and I'm hooked. I purchased my first Pin last July. Bally Black rose non working for 250.00. Needed a lot of work, parts, wiring ect. Took me a little over 6 months in my garage working on it every day.

What a fantastic looking Black Rose, welcome aboard Nick.
Thanks this got me into working on machines also. Love fixing them as much as I like playing them. Next year looking at a T2 or Earthshaker. Also enjoying the great community. Tons of help I had a ton of questions. I actually work on a coworkers games keeping them up to par. 3 classic ballys. Lost World, Fonzie 8 ball, and strikes and spares. Love the hobby. I’m hooked. Also have a Vpin

welcome.gifTo Pinball Info @Nicklaur12, one of my favourite games Black Rose and it looks a fantastic job you’ve done to bring her back to life, and she looks great with the alternative artwork and trans light. Great work.
