New members - say hello right here : )

Hello all, Dave here. Been playing pins since the late 80’s and recently started acquiring. Somehow ended up with 4 inside of 1 month. Pinbot, Swords of Fury, Twilight Zone, and F-14 Tomcat. Might have an Iron Maiden LoTB next weekend. Located in the States in Ohio.
Welcome Dave

Hello there! name's Ryan.

overdue getting seriously into pinball, been skirting around the idea of getting my own table for years now, down on the south coast of england.

30yr old, been to a couple large pinball collections in Chicago and Vegas and the one in Croydon too.

Seriously love the late 80s games just before DMD's took over. something about the simpler rule sets and every shot having its own purpose.

I am not great at pinball by any means, but i have loved it ever since playing some of the old games on the SEGA megadrive. the drought of pinball machines down in sussex does appear to be starting to end too, finally a few local machines down here.

Welcome to the addiction, hope you find a table you want here. Enjoy 👍

Welcome Ryan, from another Ryan of a similar age - feel free to ask anything you want to here, you're in good hands!

Hi all,
Raph (cyberfez) here in South Australia. I am in my mid 50's and am enjoying a living room full of pins. Jungle Lord, Time warp (in progress), Soccer (EM also in progress), and just swapped my completed refurbed Fish Tales for a Sar Trek TNG (in progress).
Cheers

Welcome Cyberfez. I like that your games are all in progress, and assume that therefore you have tools and parts and crap everywhere like the rest of us, and so are either unmarried, divorced, or have a very forgiving partner.

My quick intro:

Hi I'm Carlos from Leicester and I'm 56 (apparently  ). Back in the 80's/90's I was a trained field service engineer on Bally, Williams Zaccaria and Gottlieb pins and video games and I also worked in some big arcades.
Being 'in the trade' I was able to acquire a few ex-site machines and restore them. I was given a couple of them for free, but others I paid between £25 - £250, and I owned some real classics (and I operated a few on site):
Zaccaria: Hot Wheels, Williams: Hyperball, Roller Games, Appollo (e/m), Bally: Electra, Centaur, Mr & Mrs Pac-Man, Gottlieb: Night Moves, Kings & Queens (e/m).

Back in the 90's it was considered 'a bit weird' to have a pinball machine at home, now even taking inflation into account I can't believe how much people are asking for them, the same goes for my other hobbies: mechanical slots and Land Rovers.

When I'm not working at the uni I make sound effects and controls for fairgrounds, see the SteinFX Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/steinfx

Feel free to chat, or whatevarr. :)
