New Better Call Saul

So hyped, will watch new ep tomorrow.

Best TV series ever imo. The attention to detail and cinematography is second to none😁

(It's better than Breaking Bad 🤫)

^^^^ Mad Man also has this attention to detail

Love this show, jumping between this and stranger things and smallville!!! Lol

The cinematography is outstanding.

Silly things like the camera placement in cars, filming a bedroom scene via the wardrobe mirror or placing a camera inside the coffee machine are just a few of the tiny details that make a difference. They never go for the easy/obvious camera shot.

Great script, actors, directing, editing & camera work . . . . really polished.

Shows like Saul, The Boys & Stranger Things are so well produced.

The first 2 episodes of Better Call Saul are extremely slow. Totally different to the pace of Breaking Bad. I gave up on them, could not get into them.

When I returned though, it became my favourite show of all time

Stick with it.

I thought it was slow the first time round when seasons 1 and 2 first aired but upon having to watch them again I appreciated it so much more.

There's so much character building and little touches. Things you don't really notice unless you watch videos analysing things (check out Ological on YouTube). But they show a huge attention to detail and care in how it is produced which comes across I think.

Is it really ?
That’s saying something, if so then I must check it out 👍
No, Dave's wrong:-) - BCS is up there though. Watched yesterday's episode late last night when I got home after a few beers; was nodding off a bit, so might watch it again - really good episode!

A mate of mine has finally started watching BB after me telling him for years to watch it (up until he moved in with his GF he never watched tv shows....) - what a treat to be able to watch all of BB and then have BCS to watch afterwards!
Makes me wonder; if you hadn't seen BB, would you watch BCS first? (would avoid knowing that certain characters won't die in BCS, but would be weird seeing Mike looking a bit younger in BB?)

Wasn’t Breaking Bad like that? Loved that one as well, just can’t get enough of this kind of stuff😎

Breaking Bad was on it straight out of the traps. 27 seconds in ....

BB first and then BCS as there are some characters cameos in BCS that wont make any sense unless youve seen BB, I would say.

It benefits from seeing BB first but I don't think it needs it. I know a few people who have watched and love BCS but never seen BB

Its a fair comment, the show works well enough as a standalone show but you do get some nice moments from it that you wouldnt get without having done BB first.

SPOILER ALERT - The appearance of Hank as an example, knowing and not knowing about Hank I would say changes that impact of that scene a lot.

I found BB extremely painful to watch for at least the first 2 or 3 episodes, but after that I was hooked. BCS has been great but I couldn't honestly recommend it to anyone who hasn't already seen the entire Breaking Bad. Most of it has been brilliant and I look forward to my fix every week, but some themes just went on and on for far too long. Mostly the sibling rivalry stuff I got bored to death with.

...also I'm always a bit unconvinced with the Kim Wexler chemistry. I know I'm meant to be, but that doesn't stop me.
