Hi Guys. noticed an issue on my Fastbreak the other day. Bought some comets from James which are great. when I come to one of the lamp boards, The orange LED was red. but was orange in a different board. same with all bulbs on that board. they got really hot and one even started to melt. I notice that a few others were the same and narrowed it down to a column. My guess is too much voltage to the bulbs. I changed A TIP 102 transistor which had already been replaced but with a 107. Not sure if much difference but anyway the problem is still present. My only other Guess would be to change the Resistor too. Am I correct in thinking this? anything else that could cause this issue?
Thanks

tip102 and tip107 are very different and not compatible with each other. 102 is npn . 107 is pnp. check which it should be !!!!

it should be a tip107

Ok thanks. I will change that then. Trying to find it in the manual and can’t seem to find what it should be. Only one showing to be a 107 is Q110 and shows Q93 to Q100 is 2N4403 PNP which didn’t seem right as I thought they were the smaller ones 9bbcc322823c153734f076cfec095442.jpg

Thanks Alan, I see where I have gone wrong now. I have changed it back to a TIP107, Just need to test it to see if that has fixed my issue 👍

Just an update as I have now managed to fix the issue. All transistors now correct and a new resistor fitted. [emoji106]
