Name a cooler job than a pinball tester at Stern...

Who wouldn't want to be a game tester? Tag a friend if this would be their dream job!

Well, that’s a baffling advert.

Given JJP were paying $17k a year for game testers... I can think of at least one BIG reason I wouldn’t be one.

Also, I can think of *lots* of jobs better than repeatedly testing the same set of shots, even within pinball - it’s not like you actually *play* the games all day. Game designer? Coder? The person who designs the mechs? 🤷‍♂️

The one on the end who's allowed to use the flippers has the best time for sure, but that could have been in a JJP or AP tour that I've seen. They use like the captive ball on a rod to test most switch but didn't see that here.

I know they have asked for it with that question, I think most people can muster up better jobs outside and in pinball.

There are much less cooler jobs out there than that to be fair to them though.

Looks like a boring monotonous job to me😄
Even train driving seems more exciting

maybe they are just giving their team some limelight, you know, to get better engagement.

After nosing through indeed I think they must be trying :) You should get an prem game of your choice then you couldn't complain when sell it on.

I only watched the video to identify which idiot tested my Elvira and sent it out with faults, they certainly didn’t use the shooter rod as that was so far out the ball didn’t reach the playfield.

I think that if you actually cared about pinball machines, this job would break you.

Varnish not dry - send it out
Mechs misaligned - send it out
Grease under the pf - send it out
Flippers at different angles - send it out
Crappy code - send it out
Rubbish foam on switches - send it out
Airball frenzy - send it out

What about these? Stuck out to me when watching this the other day.
