Multimeter recommendations

An old chestnut I know .......

But can someone reccommend a decent meter please, something easily acquired from a uk based seller.

Ideally one that can identify ac ripple accurately, and maybe also measure capacitance. Auto-selection of ranges would be a nice to have

I know little about the subject. Work gave me a Fluke meter. Have a look on their website to see if it does what you want it to do.

LIDL are selling multimeters for 9.99 at the moment. About as cheap as you can get one - made by Powerfix. Can't vouch for the quality though
