Ok. Hypothetical question here.

So - what would happen if i ran a 12V AC motor on 24V AC?

Following on from this, Rather than running 1 12VAC motor from a 24v AC supply, Could i connect the two in series/parallel on one 24V AC feed for them to work correctly? If so, would the current draw be similar to running two separately??

Thoughts Appreciated :)

No idea re: the second part of your question but wouldn't it just burn out the motor if you ran a 12v one at 24v?

Possibly Chris, however bearing in mind that it (essentially) is just a coil of wire, then it might also be possible that it would just run at double speed - not sure on the tolerances though, with a slightly larger initial current draw at startup... yes i agree - the possibility is there that it may just release the "magic smoke" and vaporize :D

there's gotta be a catch to running two in series though.... I just cant work out what it might me (Maybe due to inductance/Back EMF or similar...)

it will work but alot faster ,but also burn out !
i surpose you will have to look at how long thay will be runing?
if thay are on constant ,then thay prop burn out in 5 mins !
